Commerce & Procurement

Procurement built for connected technology.

Catalogs that understand condition, compatibility, and serial numbers, with carts, approvals, and orders that stay connected to every device.

The problem

Generic procurement tools were not built for devices.

Devices come in conditions, depend on networks, and ship as serialized units. General-purpose catalogs treat them like any other SKU, and the gaps show up after the order.

  • Devices come in conditions

The same model is sold New, Open Box, Pre-Owned, or Refurbished, each with its own price, inventory, and fulfillment rules.

  • Devices depend on networks

A device that does not fit the customer's network or region is a wrong order, however quickly it ships.

  • Devices ship as serialized units

Every unit has an IMEI or serial number that needs to stay attached to its order, its user, and its SIM.

How Claddio addresses it

Where procurement breaks, and how Claddio fixes it.

Where generic tools break

  • Condition options live in separate listings or spreadsheets.
  • Buyers order devices that do not fit their network.
  • Proposals, approvals, and orders happen in different tools.
  • Once shipped, the order loses track of the device.

How Claddio handles it

  • One product, four conditions, each with its own price and inventory.
  • Catalogs filtered to devices compatible with the customer's network and region.
  • Carts become proposals, checkout links, and approved orders in one flow.
  • Serialized fulfillment links each unit to its order line.

Core capabilities

Everything from catalog to delivered order.

One commerce layer for devices, accessories, subscriptions, and services, built on the same records that track every unit after it ships.

Condition-aware catalog

One product. Four conditions.

Each condition carries its own price, inventory, and attributes, and buyers see only conditions that are priced and available. The configurator changes with the condition, because the business rules do.

  • New

    The buyer chooses the color

A New configuration resolves to one exact variant, so the SKU, color, and storage are fixed before the order is placed.

  • Pre-Owned

    Color is assigned at fulfillment

The color step disappears. An available unit in any eligible color is assigned at fulfillment, and the selected condition is preserved.

Rules a consumer checkout can't easily express.

Consumer checkout assumes one product, one price, and one exact item in the box. Business device buying needs condition, inventory, and fulfillment rules that work together.

  • A price for every condition

New, Open Box, Pre-Owned, and Refurbished each carry their own price and inventory. A condition without a price stays hidden, so buyers only see what you can sell.

  • Color follows condition

Color is a choice for New devices. For Open Box, Pre-Owned, and Refurbished, color is assigned at fulfillment from the units available.

  • Condition-specific inventory

Pre-owned units are fulfilled from their own inventory pools, so the condition the buyer selected is the condition that ships.

  • One record per unit

Whatever the condition, the serialized unit that fulfills the line is recorded on the order, with its IMEI or serial number.

Carts, orders, and subscriptions

From cart to delivered order, without re-entering anything.

Build a cart, send it for review, route it for approval, and convert it into an order. Fulfillment then ties every serialized unit back to the line that ordered it.

Carts and proposals

From cart to approved order.

Partners and procurement teams keep several carts open at once and can see where each one stands.

  • Track carts as sent, viewed, and in progress
  • Mix products, subscriptions, and services in one cart
  • Send a cart as a proposal PDF or a checkout link
  • Route orders for approval and capture the customer's PO number
  • Apply organization-scoped pricing, and adjust a line's price with an expiry date

Shipping and promotions

Shipping and discounts on the order before it is placed.

Checkout prices shipping from how the order will be packed and applies the free shipping and promotions a customer is entitled to, so buyers and approvers see the full cost up front.

Serialized fulfillment

Every unit stays tied to its order line.

Fulfillment records the IMEI or serial number of each unit that ships, associates SIMs where they apply, and keeps the approval, PO number, and shipment tracking on the same order.

  • Fulfillment units for each order line
  • IMEI validation: 15 digits, check digit, and uniqueness
  • Device and SIM association on fulfilled units
  • Shipment tracking and full order history

Subscription products

Subscriptions that ship with the hardware.

Sell device-management and router licenses with the devices they cover, or on their own.

  • Attach subscriptions to hardware at checkout, with compatibility rules
  • Standalone subscription purchases without a device order
  • Subscription groups and coupons
  • Recurring renewals with retry handling
  • Customers see every subscription on their account

Where the devices come from

Sourced to demand, verified on arrival.

When stock runs short, Claddio's operations team buys from vendors on purchase orders built from open customer demand, then receives each unit against its PO with the SKU verified from the IMEI.

  • Purchase orders generated from order lines that stock cannot cover
  • Needs split across vendors, with a vendor suggested from purchase history
  • Wrong SKUs detected from the IMEI's TAC and corrected with a single confirmation
  • Each unit becomes a serialized asset at receiving, ready for fulfillment
  • Vendors paid directly from the purchase order, with the payment reconciled against it

FAQ

Questions about commerce.

How conditions, pricing, proposals, and subscriptions work in Claddio.

New, Open Box, Pre-Owned, and Refurbished. Each condition has its own pricing, inventory, and attributes, and a condition without a price stays hidden from buyers.

Buyers choose a color for New devices. For Open Box, Pre-Owned, and Refurbished, color is assigned at fulfillment based on available inventory.

Catalogs can be filtered to devices compatible with a customer's network and region, based on the platform's compatibility data.

Yes. Promotions and price overrides can be scoped to specific customer organizations, and each cart line can be discounted or marked up with a date the price is valid through.

Yes. Send a cart as a proposal PDF or a checkout link, and track whether it has been viewed. Orders can then be routed for approval and carry the customer's PO number.

Checkout builds a packaging plan from each product's weight and boxed dimensions and quotes live UPS and FedEx rates for those packages. Buyers can also choose pickup, split shipments, or their own carrier account, and free shipping applies when it is set on the cart or comes from a promotion.

Yes. Subscriptions such as router and device-management licenses can be attached to hardware at checkout or bought standalone, with recurring renewals.

Claddio's operations team sources them from vendors on purchase orders built from open customer demand. At receiving, each IMEI's TAC is checked against the SKU, so the device that ships matches the item that was ordered.

Serialized fulfillment records the IMEI or serial number of each unit against its order line, alongside shipment tracking and order history.
