The intelligent business portal: approvals routed by spending limit
Orders within a buyer's spending limit go straight through. Everything else is routed for approval to someone with the authority to approve it.
Approval workflows usually force a choice between control and speed. Claddio's business portal now routes each order based on the submitter's spending limit, with defaults set per role: Owners are unlimited, Admins approve up to $50,000, Purchasers up to $5,000, and Employees submit for approval.
Orders above the limit become Pending Approval and appear in the approver's queue. The approver's own limit is checked again before approval, and card payments are authorized at submission and captured only once the order is approved. Rejections require a reason, so buyers always know what to change.
